Student Council representatives are off to the Council Chambers to meet with recently elected Mayor Pauline McKenzie! Our 28 students will get to explore the set up of council meetings within the BFC building and ask questions about how democracy is practiced across Bracknell.
As newly elected council members, we hope students will learn a lot about how meetings are conducted fairly, how speakers prepare for meetings and how councillors ensure action takes place in order to move ideas forward. Councillors must be effective problem-solvers, so we hope our students come back full of the energy, resilience and determination we need them to have in order to develop student voice in EP even further.
