Part-time teacher of KS5 Business Studies

Salary: MPR/UPS (Fringe) – (2-4 days per week)

We are seeking to appoint a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Part Time Teacher of KS5 Business Studies (number of days each week to be negotiated with the right candidate). Student uptake for KS5 Business Studies at our school is very healthy, and the successful candidate would be the main teacher of classes in Years 12 and 13. We currently teach the Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Business. A willingness to also teach some Business Studies in Year 11 would be an advantage, but is not essential.

Our Business/Computing Department comprises a close-knit team of three teachers and a full-time IT technician. The department benefits from up-to-date computers and is well-resourced. Salary: MPR/UPS (Fringe) + TLR 2B £5,352 per annum, pro rata

Are you an outstanding English teacher, keen to take the next step in your career? Do you make no apologies for having high expectations of students, and expecting them to achieve ambitious goals? If so, we may have the perfect opportunity for you.

We are seeking to appoint a Second in English to work alongside our Curriculum Leader for English on leading the English curriculum from September 2024. The successful candidate will have strategic responsibility for leading at least one specific key stage (to be agreed upon appointment according to their strengths.) It is important applicants have excellent subject knowledge of English Language and English Literature, and an assured, micro-level understanding of what students need to a.) know and b.) be able to do, to achieve excellent outcomes in both disciplines at GCSE and A-Level.

The English department at KAEP comprises a passionate team of subject specialists, including the Curriculum Leader, a Deputy Headteacher and three Heads of Year. The team is very stable; there has been relatively little staffing change in recent years. English is a popular subject and uptake into our Sixth Form courses in A-Level in Language and A-Level English Literature is healthy. The department benefits from excellent facilities, and all English teachers have their own classrooms.
