NQT and New Teacher Induction
At King’s Academy Easthampstead Park, we pride ourselves on the support we offer to new staff joining our school.
We run a highly successful induction programme for all new staff in the first half term of the school year. This is designed to set new staff up with everything they need to succeed at KAEP.
NQTs then benefit from a comprehensive programme of development sessions that take place across the year. These include training sessions led by experienced teachers from across the school, and structured opportunities to reflect upon their developing practice.

Initial Teacher Training (ITT) at KAEP
KAEP supports the School Direct (formerly GTP) route for Initial Teacher Training.
KAEP is a member of the Bracknell Forest School Direct Partnership, comprising six secondary schools from the local area. Our collective mission is to recruit high class graduates with the potential to become excellent teachers, who are prepared to work hard, are ambitious about their professional development and are driven to provide the highest quality education. We seek individuals who will make a real difference to the lives of the young people and families we serve.
Teaching is a demanding and highly rewarding profession. We at the Bracknell Forest Partnership are committed to providing our trainee teachers with an outstanding training, development and well-being programme. If you possess the qualities above and have the necessary skills and experience, we look forward to your application.
For further information on School Direct Initial Teacher Training at KAEP, visit the Bracknell Forest School Direct website at www.bracknellforestschooldirect.co.uk, Reading University Teacher Training at www.reading.ac.uk/education or contact Matt Hall, Deputy Headteacher, Teaching and Learning at King’s Academy Easthampstead Park.
We are pleased to offer graduates, who are interested in teaching, the opportunity to come and spend some time with us. Our programme allocates you to one or more subject departments and you will have the opportunity to shadow a range of experienced teachers. You will be able to observe lessons across the school and see the different experiences our students from Y7 to Y12 have.
We have hosted a number of graduates who have already visited us and gone on to complete their PGCE or start School Direct training.
If you are interested in visiting us, please contact Rhona Franco on firstname.lastname@example.org
